One of the fun parts of publishing a newsletter is hearing from readers.
In an issue earlier this month, I wrote that the genAI hype wave is "diet bullshit" compared to crypto hype.
(It's the diet version because genAI is far more socially acceptable. Need proof? Compare the number of people who've hastily added "AI" to their LinkedIn profile. Now do the same for "crypto." I rest my case.)
A subscriber then sent me this image.
And yes, they generated it with AI. Image shared with permission, though the creator – "prompter?" – asks to remain anonymous.
Point being: Complex Machinery has the coolest readership. If you haven't subscribed, why not?
A couple times a month you'll get my take on the (sometimes humorous, sometimes frustrating, always interesting) intersection of AI and risk. Past issues have covered chatbots gone wrong, identifying AI use cases, and weird business deals. Future issues will be determined by whatever genAI news comes my way.
It pays to ask questions
