Apple has brought back its genAI-based news summaries, after some notable goofs a few months back.

The plus side: summaries are clearly marked as such, so (hopefully?) people will recognize that the notifications may contain errors.

Then again: has Apple already tarnished its AI reputation? Will people see the AI-based notifications and simply ignore them? Or will people ignore the markings, and assume the summaries are just as credible as the source material?

Time will tell.
