My latest book: Twin Wolves: Balancing risk and reward to make the most of AI

The latest issue of Complex Machinery is out.
genAI has proven to be a rather thorny issue in the workplace. And that's putting it lightly.
Unless you're part of a small subset of software developers, your company's genAI rollout has been more of a curse than a blessing. You're experiencing a mix of needless layoffs, low morale, and bots that don't do the job nearly as well as advertised.
The worst part? As far as your CEO is concerned, genAI is the greatest thing ever.
In "The problem hire" , I explored the (mostly damaging) effect that genAI has had on workplace matters – everything from job destruction to wage theft to employees turning into zombies as they unthinkingly accept whatever that chatbot or agent spits out.
Feel free to share this one with your coworkers. And with the CEO. (Anonymously, if need be.)
