There's an interesting read in yesterday's WSJ: "Still Trying to Sound Smart About AI? The Boss Is, Too."
Key excerpt:
[I]n a recent survey of 2,000 C-suite executives, 61% said that AI would be a "game-changer." Yet nearly the same share said they lacked confidence in their leadership teams' AI skills or knowledge.
[...] Many chief executives and other senior managers are talking a visionary game about AI's promise to their staff – while trying to learn exactly what it can do.
This matches what I've seen over the years. ML/AI and genAI have thrown company leadership for a loop. How can execs run their day-to-day business while also sorting out the opportunities and threats that AI offers? How can they speak with confidence as they engage with their team, peers at other companies, and pushy AI vendors?
