Popular versus useful

The constant cacophony of hype makes it easy to confuse "popular" for "useful."

Keep that in mind as you observe the mad dash into AI (generative and otherwise).

The AI mania will fade at some point. Your executive team won't be in a rush to jam AI into every product. And you won't be able to get funding/approval/headcount just by telling them that you're using AI.

I mean, sure, enjoy the AI party for now! But I hope you're also working out what to do when the hype fades …

The best time to uncover meaningful AI use cases was yesterday. The next best time is right now.
